Starwood Starpoint Earnings Now Have More Detail Starwood Hotels has added even more functionality to their website today. In addition to adding a listing of your "earned awards" they have also added more detail to your Starpoints listing page.

Now when points post, you will see exactly where you earned them, making it easier to track down missing points. This is most important when looking at bonus promotions, and elite level bonuses as these have been difficult to decipher at times in the past.

For example when a promo posts a point bonus to your account, sometimes a number of them are posted at the same time for multiple stays, and in order to determine what stay the points were for, you had to call or email SPG to find out.

Another nice feature, is that award redemptions are also now fully described. In the past you saw an award redemption and the number of points that were deducted from your account, but not the hotel that the redemption was for. As you can see from the image above for example, a recent redemption I made for a trip to Paris in September is fully described on the website now.

Great job SPG... keep the enhancements coming!

Starwood Hotels Earned Awards Listing Starwood Hotels in my opinion has one of the best hotel loyalty programs out there. From time to time they offer bonus awards for free nights and such, but a common gripe has been that to see how many or what bonuses you have qualified for, you have to give Starwood Preferred Guest a call. That is no longer the case!

Starwood Hotels Earned Awards ListingAn option now exists on your "My Account" page which lets you verify the awards you have earned, and the details about the award.

One current promo which is currently ongoing is the ability to earn a free weekend night after every two stays. These free nights are now listed on the "My Earned Awards" page. Now you might think that this would be easy to keep track of, but for a frequent traveler who has a membership in multiple programs, it can be very easy to forget about the awards you accumulate, or when they expire etcetera.

As an SPG member, I was also given a free weekend night award this spring, to use by the end of the year. That too is listed on my awards page, along with the pertinent info about the award, and when it will expire.
